[Marxism] Chavez and Lula Assess Common Agenda and Sign Agreements
(While Washington and its corps of compliant presstitutes
want to divide Lula from Venezuela and pit them against
one another, the two most prominent Latin Americans are
not falling into that divide and be conquered trap. They
are keeping their eyes on the prize, which is summarized
by the phrase: "Latin American integration".)

Chavez and Lula Assess Common Agenda and Sign Agreements
CARACAS, June 27. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and his Brazilian
counterpart Luiz InÃcio Lula da Silva today signed a series of agreements to
boosting joint energy, agriculture and food plans, thus strengthening
bilateral political and economic cooperation.
According to an ANSA report, regarding the petrochemical projects the
presidents highlighted the advanced construction of a five story complex
which will produce almost 2 million cubic tons of plastic resins
(polypropylene, polyethylene and PVC) in 2010. They said it would be one of
the largest in the world and it will generate some 15,000 jobs.
Likewise, they mentioned the opening of a new field of experimental
agricultural research. It will begin with the sowing of 80 hectares of soy
beans, and will expand to 200,000 hectares in four years.
Lula praised the development of joint programs, and Chavez noted that
relations with Brazil are Âat an optimum level, without precedent in
history and underscored the Âurgent necessity to join the potentials of the
two countries.Â
ÂBrazil and Venezuela are showing that it is possible to advance on the
difficult path of integration of our two peoples, of the complementation of
our national projects into a greater project of a greater nation, of the
great Latin American homeland, he said.
Among the 22 agreements signed, are those consisting of the construction of
a shipyard for oil tankers in Venezuela, the supply of liquid gas to
Venezuela, the study of electric interconnections and the import of 44,000
cubic tons of various food products from Brazil.
