Re: [Marxism] PRC: The Left of the CPC critiques capitalist restorationists

What Stalin wrote in 1951 has somewhere between little and zero
bearing on what is happing in China over half a century later.
Using heavy-handed rhetoric to beat ones enemies over the head
wasn't unique to Stalin. Occasionally even in our civilized
circles, some engage in the occasional polemical exaggeration
to try to make a point in discussion.

It has nothing to do with being "Chinese". It is instead the standard
discourse of Stalinism, which makes scholastic use of the Marxist
classics to beat one's enemies over the head with. Just take a look
at Joseph Stalin's 1951 "Economic Problems of Socialism in the USSR"
if you want to find the inspiration for the article that Chandan
linked to.

I am not Chinese. I am a Jew, just like Karl Marx was ethnically.
Us Jews like to get our big noses in other's peoples business.
It is genetic, I'm afraid.

No, but I plan to visit Chinatown tomorrow with my lovely wife. They
have excellent fruit and vegetable stands down there.

And thanks for elevating the conversation, Charles. I haven't heard
such a stupid rant since the bad old days of Shining Path on the
Marxism list. It reminds me of how far we've come.
