Re: [Marxism] SACP on xenophobic attacks

Walter once again launches attacks on people on this list (unamed, this time)
who "attack the S. African government" and then goes onto opine on parts of
the SACP statement on the attacks on immigrant workers in South Africa.
Who is "blaming" to quote you Walter, the SA gov't for these attacks? Or
is it you just can't NOT attack anyone who criticized the SA gov't in the
past no matter if no one's addressed this particular issue yet? What is with
you?

I could say sometings about the SACP statement but I will wait until I know more
about what it is they are talking about, given the scant news we're getting so
far from
SA.

One has to wonder if there are hidden hands behind these attacks or are they
are as
spontaneous as the appear?

It appears that most/many/all of the popular organizations in SA have come out
against
these attacks. Walter does raise one interesting question: has their been any
sort of
defense of these immigrants among native born S. Africans, either in the
communities
or institutionally through the popular organizations (churches, unions, etc),
beyond
the statements these groups have made?
