I suppose Comrade Cox would have made a similar argument in the mid
1980s concerning the distribution of Crack:

"I keep coming back to my suspicion that most conspiracist thinking
is deeply racist. One can't believe that some Black guys could have
pulled off such a marvelous feat as creating a multi-billion dollar
drug industry out of whole cloth right under the government's nose.
Must have been those brilliant white men in D.C."

Solidarity,

CB: I agree with Comrade Shawn. As a Black person
and an anti-racist
activist I find this
one to be off. Also, I
donât know of one
Black person who
thinks itâs racist to
posit US influence
in whatever happened
on 9/11. Furthermore,
the most direct
racism would be
blaming 20 Arabs
if they didn't do it
or making the front
for something
that involved
Americans. Certainly,
it increases anti-Arab

racism in the US.
For one thing,
bin Laden was
one of Reaganâs
âfreedom fightersâ
while the US was
supplying the
reactionary
terrorist gang, counter-revolutionaries/contras in Afghanistan with
shoulder stinger
missiles and other
high tech weaponry
that allowed them
to defeat the Soviet
Army which was
supporting a revolutionary government in Afghanistan not unlike the one in
Nicaragua that
had to deal with contras. Anyway, once a CIA property always a CIA
property, so do we
know that bin Laden is not still some kind of US
agent ? Heâs a reactionary and Bush is a reactionary. Birds of a feather.
And if we
ask âCui bono ? â about 9/11, both Bush and
US imperialism
and bin Laden
and Islamic reaction
benefited from it.
Bush was able to
get everything he
wanted from Congress
under the pall of
9/11 terror and fear, and Reaganism got a few extra years of life out of it.
Bushâs attack on
the two Middle
Eastern countries
was exactly what
bin Laden wanted
to ramp up more
hatred of the US and
recruit more people
to his reactionary
movement. Why
is it that Bush has
failed to capture
bin Laden , âdead
or alive ?â Why is
it that bin Laden
seems to release
video tapes at times
when the impact of
them on US politics
benefits the US
righwing ? All this is circumstantial evidence
as far as the specifics
of the physics of
the Towers falling
and all that. But it is
a reason not to dismiss suspicions about the
official story of 9/11,
whether it means
considering 9/11 lite
theories or otherwise.

And on the political point, the
reason to give credence to '
Bush administration connections
to bin Laden , and 9/11 at the '
level of "letting it happen" by , as
Shane points to, not intercepting
the planes when they deviated
from the normal commercial routes, particularly reaching the
Pentagon without intercept, is that
it could undermine many American's blind faith in their
government as benevolent.
