[Marxism] If Cheney & Co. Had Really
To be honest, the whole "The US gov't did it" scenarios are irrelevant
to exposing capitalism and building a movement against it. MOST people
in the US believe there was a second gunman that killed JFK and there
was a conspiracy. And the conclusion is:"so what?". It's hasn't caused
1
degree of *radicalization* in the US despite these high numbers. Not
one
degree more
^^^^
CB: I know this to be not true by my own experience. Part of the
process by which I became radicalized was the loss of trust in the US
government that I developed because the assassination of JFK was covered
up by the Warren Commission. It was hard to find anyone who didn't think
it was a coverup. I happen to think the more than one gunman argument is
a diversion, since Lee Harvey Oswald was about as obvious an CIA agent
as there can be, and so even with him as the "lone guneman" it looks
like an "inside job."
I find it hard to believe that anyone from the so-called 60's can't
remember that for many, many young people disillusionment from the
Kenneday assassination coverup was very much a big step in their process
of becoming alienated from the "system". So, to the extent that there
has been a radicalization of many in the US in our generation, the
Kennedy assassination was a part of it.
