[Marxism] Who is bitter now?

Frankly, I think the placid author is basically
 describing another planet.
Obama was wrong to bring religion into this, 
in my opinion -- the roots of
religion are fundamentally not that much 
different in the Black community
than in these areas though the ideology is 
sometimes quite different.

CB: Just a thought , Fred. O  did not say that Black 
people or city folk do not turn to religion and guns 
out of bitterness with economic immiseration. Presumably
 he knows and says the city and country are the same 
on this issue. It is just that the media tried to pin him 
narrowlly to this off the cuff , rough statement in a 
casual discussion. I'm sure if you asked him, he's day
 the people in the city, Black people and White people 
all have many bitter and angry people who cling to 
religion and guns, drugs even, because either or 
they or someone close to them is bitter, angry, 
alienated, unhappy, sad, has the blues because 
of poverty.

And
the guns of hunters gets mixed up too easily with the "arm-the-people"
war
against "crime" propaganda of the right.  But the idea that the
phenomenon
he picked up on is his Pa. campaigning is a myth is simply a
counter-fantasy.

CB: Yes, and what are people thinking and feeling when they have fun
with guns, participate in gun sports, shoot a deer, duck or bullseye ?
Aren't they "letting off steam", relaxing, escaping from the tensions
and anxieties of the real world, which anxieties are substantially due
to economic woes, the secular trend of immiseration in capitalism  (the
absolute general law of capitalist accumulation ) whether personally or
someone they know and love ? Don't many people do this in city as well
as the country ? In suburbs and in the high rises ? How about armed
robbers ? Aren't they bitter often ?
