I would agree with Joaquin about trying now to do anything 
without Hamas. They won the last election, period.

However, saying "their side lost" doesn't say a thing about the 
strength of Zionism itself, either it's ability to wring money out 
of the US congress or any weakening of the Zionist state, at 
all. Zionism has lost a string of political and military endevours 
but overall it's as strong and scary as ever.

One of the things I learned in talking with Cynthia McKinney in 
Mexico is that the foreign aid to the Zionist state is not only the 
single biggest package per-capita than any foreign aid package, 
but that the Zionists *get theirs first*...even BEFORE the different 
departments of the US gov't get theirs as part of the overall 
budget. Scary, huh? And no one is challenging this, no one.

The whole Zionist project is based on "putting off" discussions, 
drawing them out, demoralizing and demobilizing the Palestinian 
masses. Personally, I see no end to the suffering of Palestine 
given the peculiar geographic and political circumstances they 
find themselves in. Obama will only conitnue things "as is".

I am not optimistic.
