[Marxism] SEIU: Industrial Union, or Company Union?

Mike Kramer seems to be the big defender of the SEIU's
attack on the Labor Notes conference on this list. His
main line of defense is the claim that the SEIU is an
"industrial union" as opposed to the CNA, which is a
craft union for privleged workers.

Although I am far, far away from the nuts and bolts of
this affair, I remember the SEIU and the HERE from the
70's and 80's when they were already VERY undemocratic
unions, and already in the habit of signing sweatheart
contracts against the interests, and against the votes
of their members.

>From what I have read on this list, the SEIU today has
become on BIG COMPANY union signing sweat heart
contracts, but pretending to be left based on being an
ALL INCLUSIVE undemocratic company union.

If I am wrong Mike, please explain.

Thanks, Anthony
