The new law's passage was not attributed to "militant trade union
action" according to the article Louis posted. Apparently there is
no disagreement on the origins of this particular law, one which
FAVORS the Chinese proletariat. We'll see over time what actually
occurs in practice, but the new law seems quite positive, right?

I have no idea what Walter means by "militant trade union action" since
the only trade union in China is run by the government. That being said,
there have been workers struggles for much of the past decade since
China's period of "primitive accumulation" began.
