I think Obama's position sucks. I'd noticed that statement a week ago,
following one by Clinton. The reason I asked what boycott is that it seemed
you were talking about a boycott of the Olympics as a whole, and I've been
out of touch for a few days. 

I --frankly-- don't know anything about Tibet, and have no intention of
remedying my ignorance. 

But I am against this anti-China campaign, if for no other reason than the
involvement of Robert Menard and his reporters without borders letterhead
clearly labels it as a CIA operation. No self-respecting human rights
campaign would allow the likes of Bernard and his ilk to take part.

I'd be inclined to be against this campaign anyways. The Chinese rulers are
very bad people, but the idea that somehow the chiefs of the French, German,
Japanese, and above all British and American imperialism have any moral
standing to point the finger at the Chinese authorities is too disgusting
for words. This is not mainly a campaign against Chinese abuses, which I
assume are real enough, but about the moral, ethical superiority of
imperialism.

The Olympic ceremony boycott I'd be for would be one against the Chinese for
having invited a war criminal like George Bush to attend, but no one seems
to be promoting that one..
