Re: [Marxism] Seeking a source on FDR's New Deal
I don't know if this book is still in print, I purchased it back in 1963
when it was first published, but nonetheless, the Title is "Franklin D.
Roosevelt and the New Deal,'1932-1940" published by Harper & Row, Library
Of
Congress Card Number 63-12053. It sources are well documented, with a great
bibliography.

Can any point me to a readily available source that documents the fact that
Roosevelt's New Deal, in terms of its main benefits to workers, was an
unavoidable concession to popular unrest rather than altruism by the
government? Plus a left critique of any other aspect of the New Deal would
be handy. Something academic or semi-academic that can be referenced as an
authority wouild be good.
thanks to anyone who can help.
