Interestingly, Marx states, as you quoted, "the individual producer
receives back from society -- after the deductions have been made --
exactly what he gives to it. What he has given to it is his individual
quantum of labor." But the change in Cuba is not to give according to
the "quantum" of labor, but according to the quality of that labor. Does
that make it unsocialistic? I'm not sure.

Of course, I trust Raul's opinions on what Cuba should do more than my
own - but that doesn't stop me from having them ;-)
