It is also interesting to note that the famous New Atheist, Sam
Harris is very much into Buddhist meditation. Nevertheless,
his politics as reflected in his book *The End of Faith* and
in subsequent writings are quite abominable.

It is interesting to note that in the US, the Marxist philosopher
Kevin Brien has taken a strong interest in Buddhism and
in the second edition of his book, *Marx, Reason, and the
Art of Freedom*, he attempts to establish the compatibility
of Marxism with Buddhism, as I noted in my post
on that book on Marxmail a couple of year ago.
