Re: [Marxism] In Solidarity with the People of Tibet
Dear Greg, Tibetans in Tibet, East Timorese in East Timor, and who
knows how many more, all of them have "legitimate grievances" we
should not forget for a single minute.
But, let me tell you something: both Jews and Germans in post 1919
Poland or Checoslovakia had their legitimate grievances. However, both
remained on the path of imperialism to redress their situations.
The results? World War 2, Nazi Germany (in fact, the first Nazi group
appeared among the Sudeten Germans) and Zionism triumphant.
No people suffering from any kind of oppression can even have the
right to expect that an alliance with imperialism, however desperate
their situation, will be a "good bad alternative".
It is always the WORST alternative.
I must also thank all the comrades around me because sometimes one
loses sight of the validity of human suffering. Class war sometimes
hardens you too much. And nobody, NOBODY, can become a Stalin without
the worst consequences.
