I would say that China being socialist or capitalist
is pretty irrelevant when it concerns the *course*
of the Chinese economy and what it presents for
saving US capitalism's butt as well as irrelevant to
Tibet.
Since no one has a shred of evidence (except for
the US's support to the D.Lama who has been
doing his damnest to calm things down, it seems
from afar) as to "CIA" intentions, my guess is
that the US is doing what IT can to shut the
Tibetan's down by *any means necessary* so
that capital can continue to flow into China
and profits out. For the same reason people
noted the KMT's reprochement with the CCP,
it is reasonable to assume that China's foray
into whatever degree it has privatized it's economy
singals a direction the US in general, and the
CIA specifically, wants to encourage. The Tibetans,
at best or worse, is getting in the way.
