Yes, I think Postone owes a great debt to Lukacs (and
I.I. Rubin). That is why Postone's constant
references to "traditional Marxism" are somewhat
irritating, since it is clear that he himself is
standing on the shoulders of some giants, not to
mention Backhaus and Reichelt (Postone studied in
Frankfurt in the 1970s).

I've not read Meszaros. Worthwhile? MR publishes
quite a few of his books. Should I start with Beyond
Capital or one of the other ones?
