I was all set to respond to Andrew's message but gave up when I
discovered that his lines trailed off to the extreme and unreadable
right margin, a sure sign that his yahoo account is not properly
configured. I am particularly perturbed by this since Andrew is (or was)
a programmer.

People reading the archives would also have trouble reading his message,

Frankly, I am getting quite annoyed with comrades' inability to send
readable messages. If the goal is global communications between
like-minded people, we have to make more of an effort to achieve simple
readability. Once again, I strongly urge comrades to standardize on
Thunderbird and if you are going to use a web-based email program, try
gmail which seems to be less subject to this truly annoying problem.
