LI COMMUNITY UNITED AGAINST IR 1105
ANTI-IMMIGRANT PROPOSED LEGISLATION
- Press conference to be held on Thursday at noon -





Suffolk County legislative proposal IR1105 is an attack on immigrant  
workers, small businesses, and  homeowners. This bill would be an  
economic disaster: it threatens both one of our most vulnerable  
economic sectors — housing — and tries to idle one of our strongest  
economic engines — the economic contributions of immigrants. On the  
day the bill goes before the Suffolk County Legislature’s Consumer  
Affairs Committee, the Long Island Immigrant Alliance and labor  
unions together with community and immigrant advocates will hold a  
press conference in opposition to Suffolk County ’s proposed  
legislation IR 1105.
