Your Voluntary Support 
To readers, friends and supporters, 
It is the third week of the Palestine Chronicle appeal, and we have  raised 
$5021 USD so far. As deeply grateful as we are to all those who have made  a 
contribution, we still have some way to go.  Please distribute this  message to 
all your friends and associates. We are urging all our readers â and  really 
anyone interested in keeping viable a space that offers free independent  and

One of the most special features of the chronicle lies in the way it  
incorporates Palestine with wider issues and events, with the aim of making our 
 
struggle firmly ingrained and incorporated into other contemporary activist  
movements and dialogues, such as anti-globalization, anti-war and so on.  
Bringing 
together specialist focus on Palestine and Middle East issues by  leading 
international political intellectuals and journalists, the Palestine  Chronicle 
remains one of very a few such resources in existence at the  moment. 
We always believed it was important for the Chronicle to remain independent  
of any ideology or political affiliation, and have never received grants or  
state funding for this reason.  It is only as a joint venture with our  readers 
that we have been able to keep going â and indeed going strong. As we  reach 
more and more people around the world, we need to send out periodic  reminders 
of our need for funds to sustain the work.  
Our new and improved website is one of the initiatives we were able to take  
following our fundraiser last summer. we aim to continue growing until the 
issue  of Palestine can no longer be ignored by any informed global citizen. 
But 
for  this we absolutely rely on your support â we would truly be nothing 
without  it. 
Our target is of $20,000 by March 31, 2008.  This will not happen unless  you 
take some urgent action. Contributions will also receive a special gift from  
the Chronicle.
