Re: [Marxism] ideological purging

Think about the definition of "purging". The image comes to mind of a
lifeform shoving an appendage down its throat to rid itself of some
toxic or breath-blockage.

First off, "Marxism" is a dynamic, not an absolute. The support of
Maoist and Stalinist brands of "red fascism" and their more polite
state-capitalist relatives, Chavez and Castro, ought to show that it is
far from consideration as a conscious "lifeform". It is process, not
realization of an end to process! There has not been a fall from the
'Garden of Marx' wherein a return can only be achieved by "purging" evil
"offenders".

Try dialectical synthesis when it comes to "paradox", versus suppressing
one side of "the unity of opposites" or the other. It just might lead to
a more unique understanding of Marx and the world he tried to foresee
without inverting it along the way.

Purging is for the self-deluded and for "selves" incapable of growth who
substitute reified deities/absolutes for themselves and their social
'treasure chest' of other [possibly] expanding/expandable selves.

I don't know who the "offending one" is, in this case, but I certainly
think emotional appeals to hierarchy would embarrass anyone who wasn't
understandably peeved. I suggest explaining the contentions deeper
rather than stooping to the 'emotional plague' exemplified so well in
the ideologically-motivated executions and excommunications of the past.
Elevate the critique. Try to bring out better and more robust arguments
from the "offender". Help them shed ideology rather than stooping to its
sub-human level.

best wishes,
chris
