Re: [Marxism] Blacks, Latinos and the Democratic Primaries -- a Bureau of Electoral Cretinism special report
Big Red Fred was right about the aftermath of U.S. elections.
However, it's by no means as certain as the Clinton machine
wanted us to think that Clinton had it already all locked up.
Neither the nomination nor the election are by any means set.
Why should we act as if it's already a done deal?
Mumia explained this perfectly way back in October in a great
essay written and broadcast at that time. How short-sighted!
MUMIA PUTS IT THIS WAY:
In a democracy, how can there be such an air of inevitability,
before a single vote is cast?
It shows the power of money in determining, not just the
outcome of politics, but in every major activity in the
life of the nation.
In a true democracy, the question can't be answered until
the people have decided.
A year before, and it seems all but over.

LOUIS PROYECT WROTE:
Of course, they will eventually be disappointed in a Clinton
presidency because her economic program and his are virtually
identical. In considering the "differences" between the two, I am
reminded of what Fred Halstead used to say when he was running for
president on the Socialist Workers Party ticket exactly 40 years ago:
"Whoever wins the election, the American people will end up the losers."
