Been weaning myself from meat and dairy for a year or so, mainly for  
health reasons. But given the economic news, looks like it's high  
time to go vegan all the way. Ok, maybe some fish or chicken once a  
month or so. Might as well put that veggie garden in the backyard  
this spring as well.  A lot of good that will do for folks elsewhere,  
but it's a hell of a lot better than sitting back and doing nothing.  
More to the point, if a large minority went vegan and supplemented  
their food with home grown veggies, it would have an impact. But we  
all know THAT  ain't gonna happen.
