Louis, have you ever thought of posting a reading log? I know that you post
to your blog, but I sense that there is a lot of material (and access to
material)
that you do not (or do not have time to) post - and those tracks may be
of interest, and useful to others on this list.
For my own casual reading, I find that English crime/adventure novels written
before 1941 have a fascinatingly different pace, vocabulary, and "zeitgeist".
A rich treasure for cultural anthropologists, I'm sure.
