Well, I for one appreciate his contrarianism. I don't
agree with him on climate change but I think he's
dead on in regards to climate change advocates
essentially opposing all real research that might
hint at a...contrary point of view. Cockburn is correct:
there is a witch-hunt and it doesn't do climate change
activists a bit of good to act as religious fanatics.
I would argue, however, that Cockburn's own point
of view varies hugely with the Spiked-Online ex-ultralefts
on nuclear energy. He continues to exclude *any*
discussion on nuclear energy from Counterpunch and
lets anti-nuclear dilettantes like Harvey "We're all gonna die!"
Wasserman speak for him.
