Re: [Marxism] From the bureau of electoral cretinism: Iowa Caucuses
Voters don't know what they want and those that do think they want
different things, but they don't want what we've had. Their thrashing
about in the electoral arena reflects a genuine yearning for change,
but in a venue that precludes much enlightenment and doesn't permit
much of a focus to whatever light is generated. .
The other day, I was comparing these candidates and the process that
produces and rates them as something like hiring a local news reader
or a weatherman. The finalists are given a shot at performing for
various focus groups and the one that commands the most empathy and
exudes the most credibility gets the job. But they'll all be employed
by the same people and reading off the same script.
