[Marxism] The Official Story unfolds in Pakistan

How did Benazir Bhutto die? Not from bullets, according to the Pakistani
government. No, it was because she bumped her head on the roof door
lever of her bulletproof car, ducking from the explosion outside.

The bomber missed her three times, goes the story, before the bomb went
off. If someone was shooting at her from a jostling crowd while she was
in a moving vehicle, of course it would be a difficult shot.

Bullet wounds would imply snipers, and that might lead to conclusions
about ISI and government involvement. We can't have that, can we?

So now it is being reported with a straight face on our local tv station
that Al Quaeda killed her, which means that more pressure will be
brought to bear on Musharraf to clamp down on them.

And of course Bhutto was a simon pure democrat who is a martyr for
democracy.

Pretty neat package, I must say. Gotta hand it to our spinmeisters on
this one.
