Re: [Marxism] Bolivia on the brink
A small note on this. At least for the last few years, from the year
leading up through Evo's election, it was just the opposite as Nestor
(sorry to pick on you) implies in terms of the army in Bolivia. It was
the La Paz police that were the most sympathetic to the mobilizations
before and after the election with the people's distrust of the army at
an all time high. Of course, recently, this has changed with the Army's
'nationalism' working against Oligarchic and imperialist designs to
shred the country into "autonomies", that is, independence. It is an odd
coupling but hopefully this will, at worst, neutralize any "golpeistas".
