Re: [Marxism] In response to Sam Webb's On "The Nature, Role, and Work of the Communist Party"

Hello Ben,

Sometimes I wonder that with which limb of their body some party of
workers did read the classical socialist texts. If you are narrow minded
such to ask them about their support of nationalism, they'll probably
answer it is due to the inevitable patriotism against imperialism. If you
accuse them of the support of X reactionary movement in Y country, no need
to get excited, it is because of the necessity of internationalism against
imperialism. So, should I support the leader of X country against the
imperialist aggression? Never! It serves to the reactionary political Y
religion of the ruling class of that country. Then let me criticize the Y
religion. By no means! There is a danger that it could be perceived as a
sample of Yophobia! So, we should support the anti-imperialist religious
movements then? No! The society must be purified from the religious
illusions. So why are you encouraging a particular form of religion (e.g.
Alevilik in Turkey)? But they are oppressed!

Ok. Should I support X socialist leader in Y country? Probably No! He is
not socialist enough. May I criticize him then? Hell No! They have some
degree of socialism to be promoted against imperialism? etc? etc?

Vanguardism? Last week, I argued with my cousin (who is a manager at
Fortis Bank and votes to Liberal Democratic Party) on Yahoo Messenger
about the Department of Religious Affairs of Turkey. He insisted that this
organization is necessary in Turkey's conditions, because if you don't
claim on religious affairs then the tariqats do the job. Then I said, so
you are confronting the bigotries of religion by assigning religious civil
servants? He said, "You have no idea, I am close to people. They can
easily go astray". I replied, "Take your hands away from people".

Vanguardism is dangerously very close to people.

There is a story has been told (by very-ultra reliable sources) about a
hyper-ultra-Marxist-Leninist organization (dhkpc) of Turkey which has
prohibited to his members to smoke since smoking is a bourgeoisie habit. I
have no idea of its accuracy but I am familiar with the scornful approach
of "Don't listen this X singer since he is serving to Y imperialist
force", "Don't read this writer, that philosopher, etc". You actually no
place breathe. Once I really scared to quote from Hegel among my much more
tolerant comrades. Think about it for once. This young man joins to your
ranks for a tiny possibility of freedom.

Two years ago, we arranged a meeting with curious university students.
After a long debate about the revolutionary situation of Bolivia and
Morales (Actually, I was pleasured with that debate) A twenty year old
girl asked the most crucial question of the night: "Last week some of my
friends treated my unethically and I was offended. What this all
socialism-materialism things to do for estimating my daily struggles?"?
Silence? A long silence of incurability? Let's move on... But Morales sais
that..

Did your read the recent post about the sexism in British SWP? Are these
swine morons, slobs are the inheritors of Modernism? Hell no?

I had a juvenile feeling that socialism is all about people? about the
actual situation of people... that is all?

Btw? the theory of "immaterial labor" is one of the most fantastic things
that I've ever heard for a while? It made my day..

I don't know if it is proper to utter in here but it seems I am drunk now?
