[Marxism] A U.S.-Iranian thaw?

It should be noted that there was *massive* US-Iranian cooperation 
during the US attack on Afghanistan. It was, in fact, initiated by the 
Iranians. It included fly-overs by US Navy planes, refugee co-ordination 
and direct military support by Iran for US efforts. Lastly, the Iranians 
had proposed a permanent joint military aid to the new Afghan Army 
*under US military supervision*, but this was rejected by the US. So, 
anything is possible, and, at least in terms of US and Iranian 
cooperation, it's also likely.
