This is big news.  Omar Lopez is one of the main
organizers of the immig rights marches here in Chicago
and is widely known and supported, from what I'm told.

He's running against Luis Guttierez, a Dem congressman
who co-sponsored the weak guest worker program put
forward in congress earlier this year.
