[Marxism] CNN: US ckaims Iran revolutionary goals now patrol Persian Gulf
That title should read: US claims Iran Revolutionary Guards now patrol
Persian Gulf.
Or maybe I meant to say "Revolutionary Goalies" as in hockey.
The claim could well be true, but we should keep in mind that Congress has
already, to all intents and purposes, endorsed military conflict with Iran
if the target is the Revolutionary Guards, which Congress followed by the
White House has proclaimed a terrorist organization.
But basically, I think Holbrooke is right that the military backed by top
sectors of the ruling class are agreed that the Bush administration must be
prevented from attacking Iran, and that the matter should be turned over to
the now-under-construction Clinton administration.
