[Marxism] more on Colombia and Venezuela
Anthony pointed out that Uribe practically gave open support to the coup
plotters in venezuela, saying Chavez's announcement would have grave
consequences not only
internationally, but domestically in Venezuela. Further, that it all
looks orchestrated.
There's more: Uribe has basically accused Chavez of imperialism and
trying to set the continent on fire, speaking one day against Spain,
on the following day against United States, mistreating Mexico one
day, Peru the following one in the morning and Bolivia later. As for
removing Chavez as mediator, he said-- we need a mediator against
terrorism, not a legitimizer of terrorism. So, the US, Peru,
Mexico... the ducks are being lined up. Meanwhile, lots of rumours
about a coup here... and incredible lies [chavez going to take your
home and children-- see article x] about what the proposed reforms
include, which seem to be affecting traditional supporters of the process.
cheers,
michael
