I don't get the sense that you understand anything that I have ever
written, if you can ask this. Oehler was a sectarian. He opposed entry
into the SP for sectarian reasons. I take the position that the
opportunity existed in the late 1930s for a resurgence of Debs type
socialism. The Trotskyists ruined this possibility by splitting the SP.

Of course they were. Reformists and ultralefts are the Scylla and
Charybdis of the left.
