[Marxism] Online petition urging Nader to run for the Green nomination

The scenario sketched earlier involved our running the candidate we can
support in principle also capable of damaging the two-party system most
severely.  The bulk of those Greens declaring for the nomination are pretty
much Lilliputian in stature and reputation at this point, as are the entire
spectrum of likely candidates available to the socialist grouplets.

Other names capable of running a serious campaign have come up.  Peter
Camejo is not running this time.  Cynthia McKinney has explicitly said she
won't seek the Green presidential nomination, which likely means an
independent bid for Congress with Green support.  Cindy Sheehan is planning
to run against Pelosi.  Of what's available, we certainly want to keep Nader
in the mix.

At the very least, those wanting to leave this option open should sign the
petition at www.draftnader.org.
