Of course if they lifted the oppression and (capitalist)  modernity were
allowed to proceed unchecked by religious zealotry then a gay culture would
emerge in Iran and believe it or not boys and girls it would look very much
like the gay culture in the West.  Somewhere or other Marx said if we want
to see the future we should look at America. I think that is so true of the
evolution of gay subcultures around the world.

Interestingly The Guardian has a report on the number of sex change
operations in Iran and that country ranks only second behind Thailand in
these operations, which incidentally get state support. But that too is
quite understandable in terms of the attitude of a traditional society
towards same gender sexual relations. They happen (of course) but they must
not be allowed to evolve into a viable alternative to heterosexuality.

But we should be clear here, The Western military complex has no interest at
all in liberating gays anywhere.  this is all part of the campaign to soften
up left liberals and get them to accept the bombing of Iran.  In all this
Ahmahdinejad is the dream president of the American and Western right.
