[Marxism] Bollinger's pro-occupation speech

There are obviously many parts of Bollinger's speech that deserve to be  
denounced. On an emotional level, my first thought re: the 800 alums he  
mentions who are in Israel, was to write him and say "fuck you and fuck  them, 
let them get their colonizing asses back to the US. Otherwise let  them take 
whatever's coming to them."
  But on a more serious note, antiwar coalitions generally need to follow  the 
Columbia Coalition's lead in opposing anti-Iran statements  beforehand, and 
prepare a jonit response to the below segment of  Boll(ock)inger's speech. What 
right does he have: a) accepting  Petraeus' lies about arms supplies from Iran; 
b) supporting the U.S.'s  right to occupy Iraq? c) calling Iran an enemy? 
  Bollinger bears more responsibility than Ahmedinejad for any US troops' 
deaths by supporting their presence there. 
  P.S. re the furor over Butler's hosting of Hitler's ambassador, and the  
Dean's statement that pre-Holocaust Hitler would be welcome to speak:  Bush and 
the Dems, not Ahmedinejad, are the real parallels with  pre-Holocaust Hitler. 
THEY are the ones who have carried out war crimes  by unprovoked aggresion and 
occupation of a sovereign country.

  In a briefing before the National Press Club earlier this month,  General 
David Petraeus reported that arms supplies from Iran, including  240mm rockets 
and explosively formed projectiles, are contributing to  ?a sophistication of 
attacks that would by no means be possible without  Iranian support.? 
  
  A number of Columbia graduates and current students are among the brave  
members of our military who are serving or have served in Iraq and  
Afghanistan.  They, like other Americans with sons, daughters,  fathers, 
husbands and wives serving in combat, rightly see your  government as the 
enemy. 
  
  Can you tell them and us why Iran is fighting a proxy war in Iraq by arming 
Shi?a militia targeting and killing U.S. troops?
