I agree with Adam's (and David's) distinction between the Greens in the US
and overseas.  The former, as I have often argued, performs the role of a
small social democratic formation here and that niche is entirely occupied
overseas.

When the full story on 2004 comes out, I think the blame for having screwed
up the 2004 nominating process will fall, in part, to the conservative
nature of the European parties.
