Yes. Of course there are insane Greens and less insane Greens, so my
objections might not apply to all of them. As a general rule, though, they
don't seem particularly willing to let the forces of production be
developed.

What is wrong with controlling nature? It is a perfectly valid expression of
what, IMO, is a Marxist value: to be able to dispose things to the
satisfaction of the people as a whole. That requires, in essence, overcoming
randomness to the extent that it is possible, and utilizing natural
resources for human ends. There's a rhetorical point to make that
controlling nature might not sound good, but it is what there is to be done,
in essence.
