What would be good about a Green victory? Is it the delay in technological 
progress, the regression in energy production, the transfer of rights from 
humans to animals and landscapes, the steps backward in automation and 
economies of scale, or something I can't think of?

Greens are in my experience irrational, incapable of understanding the 
imperatives of controlling nature, and have a quasi-religious conservatism 
and desire to leave things as they are wrt production, mining, et al.
