You forget two things:
1) Iran hasn't had it's air defenses systematically degraded by a decade of
bombing like Iraq did.
2) What's going to happen on day 2?
I remain HIGHLY skeptical that anything is about to happen, and convinced
that everything that IS happening is designed to do two things:
1) Ratchet up pressure on supposed Iranian "moderates" to take power in Iran
(not going to happen)
2) Ratchet up pressure on Europeans and Democrats and others to go along
with increasingly strong economic warfare, in turn designed either to
facilitate the previous item, and/or to soften up Iran for a future attack.
However, I also remain of the opinion that one must act AS IF an attack is
coming, because a lack of opposition to such an attack only makes it more
probable.
