  Mark I am not dismissive of history I believe history should be used as a 
pedagogical tool to  to frame present action(except when the history provides 
static notions that have been empirically refuted like classic 
Marxist-Leninism) in such cases we need to acknowledge the progression of our 
material reality and as historical materialist in turn adapt our techniques 
incorporating the logic of the old in a new configuration which addresses the 
logic of the new which is the general concept of class struggle.Your step by 
step analysis serves as a good cross application because the progression of the 
movement has similar correlations. (adversely using the defeated strategies of 
industrial capitalism against post industrial capitalism assumes a static 
notion of class struggle) And I agree there are several benefits to posing a 
challenge to the two party system that will allow it to gradually build the 
base of the Greens (by providing a alternative to the traditionally
 Hippocratic capitalist supporting two party bureaucracy). My only reservation 
is the extent to which the democrats have influence over the Green' parties in 
demo graphical areas that have been traditionally excluded from access to a 
ballot. as past representatives have pr oven it would be a shame to push a 
candidate that jumps ship like Audie Bock. And I will read your book to gain a 
more open perspective on the topic. However, in the end we can only work to try 
to facilitate the expansion of the third party and in spite of the flaws in the 
American system  we can hope that a challenge to the twin capitalist system can 
create the sort of rupture that the anti-slavery activist had on the Whigs.
