[Marxism] Racist Israelis burn a non-Jewish family out of their home.

A house was set ablaze in the Israeli community of Moshav  Tefahot on 
Tuesday. This was the second attempt to stop a non-Jewish couple from  moving 
in.  
One room in the house was set on fire last Thursday, after the  couple, 
Hayman and Christina Khatib, received threats by local residents  following 
their 
decision to rent a home in the religious, Upper Galilee  âmoshavâ.  
Tiberias Police Chief Ilan Sardel said the attacks were clearly  racist in 
nature and a reaction to the husband's ethnicity. The husband is  Arab. 
At first, Tefahot residents received Christina with open arms,  assuming she 
was Jewish and had just made aliyah (moved to Israel). After  finding out that 
she was in fact a Christian from Romania, and her husband a  Druze from the 
Galilee, residents began making ugly threats. "The moment they found out he was 
Arab, the threats began," Christina  said. "They informed me that they wouldnâ
t accept the young children to the  kindergarten, and they wouldnât allow 
them on the school bus. One of the  neighbours said rocks would be thrown at 
us, 
and another neighbour threatened to  burn down the house with the children in 
it."  
The two violent attacks on the house prompted its landlord to  cancel the 
contract she had signed with the Khatibs. "This is sheer racism. The  moshav 
wants to supervise which people live in it," the landlord said. While the 
blatant 
bigotry and violence of the attacks is  shocking, they are simply an extreme 
expression of Israelâs blatantly racist  policies.  
Since its founding, Israel has attempted to impose a policy of  segregated 
housing for Jews and non-Jews. It has used both the Israeli Land  Authority 
(ILA) and the Jewish National Fund (JNF) to promote this policy. These  two 
agencies own and control 93% of the land in the state of Israel. They refuse  
to 
rent land to non-Jews except in the most exceptional  circumstances. 
In 1995, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled that this policy was  illegal, but 
nothing has been done since then to end discriminatory land and  house leasing 
practices. As a result, Jewish communities have access to almost  unlimited 
land for housing and business while Arab communities are limited to 3%  of the 
land. Truly, Israel is a racist state, modeled on the  racist American âOld 
Southâ.
