Re: [Marxism] SACRAMENTO BEE:

Washington abandons its allies when they no longer serve its
purposes. Ask Lebanon's Maronite Christians of the South
Lebanon Army. Ask Ngo Dinh Diem. Ask Manuel Noriega. Ask any
U.S. supporters of the Kuomintang [sp?], ask Vang Pao, ask
Saddam Hussein.

Who can change U.S. foreign policy? Only the victorious U.S.
proletariat, as it institutes a proletarian dictatorship in
the United States, or is it permissable to call for an end
to the blockade PRIOR to the socialist revolution in the U.S.?

If it IS permissible, who will be ending the blockade and how/
will they motivate it within the context of the existing
political vocabulary of "actually existing capitalism" in the
United States of Disneylandia?

Ask Norman Finkelstein if the Israeli lobby has any influence
in the United States.

CARROL COX writes:
This is the same kind of nonsense, the same kind of implicit defense of
imperialism, as the 'theory' that the Israel-Lobby determines U.S.
policy in the mideast. U.S. foreign policy is determined by leading
elements of the ruling class and state, and were they to change their
mind they would brush off those gusanos as though they were an annoying
moth.
