[Marxism] Ten days of 24-hour Max Roach music has begun tonight on WKCR radio

WKCR radio has pre-empted all its programming from now till a week from
Wednesday at 9pm for a memorial presentation of Max Roach's music.  (The
station has had an annual 24-hour birthday broadcast in honor of Roach. For
years, Phil Schaap, the Columbia University radio station's resident jazz
scholar, has opened his weekday morning broadcast of Charlie Parker's music
with the words, "Good Morning, Max."

This will be a good place to hear a great deal of beautiful music and to
learn about Roach as a musical revolutionary as well as a revolutionary
musician.

That's where my radio will be set to for the next week plus.

WKCR is at 89.9 fm, and www.wkcr.org.  The station is carried on the web by
RealPlayer and Winamp.
