Thanks, Les, for all the links about climate change. I
appreciate the effort. It seems like most of the
points Dyson has raised have been addressed or are
being investigated, which pretty much leaves his
claims unfounded.  That is really what I wanted to
understand; I probably should have formulated my first
post more clearly.

One minor point: I don't know if he opposed the Bush
administration's cutting of funding for climate
satellites, but he did publicly condemn Guantanamo
(http://www.kibush.co.il/show_file.asp?num=13815), and
attend an anti-war protest against Condoleeza Rice
(http://www.tpmcafe.com/story/2005/10/1/14751/2839). 
Given how little notice that received, it wouldn't
surprise me if any complaints about funding, etc. was
ignored.  It's not like he's a Russian physicist or something.
