Physical evolution does go on all the time, but these tend to be pretty
inessential traits over the short run with human populations. The
proportion of blue eyes or other recessive traits would naturall fluctuate.
Some traits have faded proportionately (maybe completely) since medieval
times...like the "bun" at back of the head among people in the British
isles...
However, these sort of variations don't amount to the qualitative emergence
of a completely different species or even the major differences among types
of modern people.
