This mailing list was created as a forum for committed Marxists. From 
time to time, people show up who are not committed to Marxism but at 
least have the courtesy to keep a low profile. Over the past few months, 
Sayan has been one of the more prolific posters but I am getting the 
dismaying sense that his interest in Marxism is based mostly on 
intellectual curiosity. There is nothing wrong with that per se, but it 
can be very disruptive on a forum such as this. We have too many 
important things to discuss and can't waste time on the abc's of 
Marxism. We really need to spend less time responding to Sayan because 
he simply doesn't represent any kind of current within Marxism that I am 
familiar with, either within the academic or activist left. There might 
come a time when I am forced to unsub him if I detect a continuing 
distraction from out main objectives here, which is to clarify issues 
facing Marxists.
