[Marxism] racism
I'd prefer if we did not use the n word on this list even in quotation
marks. I can't imagine that had McGwire broken the record, the reaction
would not have been softer. Constant reminders about how the pitchers are
juiced and the relief pitching is better, and constant reminders about how
in America the (white) innocent must be presumed innocent unless proven
guilty (especially since he would vindicated the white man, though please
does anyone know what the orphan Ruth's 'race' actually was?) . Perhaps
we would have been told that it's possible that players have been juiced
for a very, very long time; and had McGwire be walked as often as Bonds,
we would have been told that his record is so remarkable that no
accusation of juicing for a year or two can minimize it.
I know this is counterfactual, but it seems screamingly obvious to me.
Pooh-poohing or refusing to acknowledge and thereby suppressing challenges
to habitual white privilege is indeed strong in America, among all those
who have been socialized here it as Sayan is proving once again.
And why not the same hostility towards Clemens?
