[Marxism] From the Left

Dear Section on Marxist Sociology members,

A new Summer 2007 edition of From the Left, the section newsletter, has
just been posted on the section's new webpage on the ASA site by the
newsletter editors and webmasters for the section. Hannah Holleman and
R. Jonna. To get to it go to the ASA webpage, go to sections, choose
Marxist section, and click on newsletter at the bottom. This will take
you to the section webpage. Click there on newsletter.

Or to get there directly simply go to the following url:
http://www2.asanet.org/sectionmarxist/newsletter.html

Hannah and Jonna have done what I am sure you will agree is great job in
restarting From the Left. It contains a message from them, an article on
"Crisis and Revitalization in Marxist Theory," a list of all the section
panels at the ASA, news on a new play, information on recent
publications, and much more. They are looking already for contributions
to the next newsletter. We are hoping to reestablish centrality of the
newsletter for the section by instituting a more regular publications
schedule and making it once again a forum for articles and discussions
(as well as important information) related to Marxist sociology.

On the webpage you will find archives of earlier newsletters (all of
which are worth rereading) and a lot of material on the section. Hannah
and Jonna are still adding new material and updating information. Any
help you can give in providing archival material would be appreciated by
all.

Yours in Solidarity, John Bellamy Foster, chair, Section on Marxist
Sociology
