Re: [Marxism] Hawkish Shinzo Abe Suffers Electoral Setback
Bill Quimby writes:
<<"Hawkish Shinzo Abe Suffers Electoral Setback"? I thought that he was handed
a set-back because he wasn't hawkish enough, and that those moving toward
nationalism (and in favor of Japan getting the bomb) increased their power.
Or am I reading things incorrectly?
Can you clarify? Increased nationalism in Japan is a bit of a scary thought for
those having grown up during WW2.

You are reading things incorrectly on almost every score. In fact it is
hard to see what you are reading at all.
Basically the faux ruling party lost a lot of seats to the faux opposition,
largely because corruption scandals and the loss of pension records
had damaged the image of the ruling party -- while the issues Bill raised
had about as much influence on the outcome as did ghost stories.
